Senior WordPress Developer

Anywhere / Fulltime or Freelancer

We are looking for a qualified and experienced Senior WordPress Developer to take on an architect role in the team of a US-based partner. The selected candidate will be responsible for supporting the client, breaking down complex problems into manageable tasks for the development team, and being the primary voice in technology decisions. This role requires technical skills as well as interpersonal skills to communicate effectively with clients and team members.

Key Responsibilities:

● Client Support: Act as the primary technical contact for clients, providing expert advice and solutions for their WordPress projects.
● Problem Solving: Break down large, complex problems into smaller, actionable tasks for the development team.
● Technical Leadership: Serve as the responsible voice in technology decisions ensuring best practices and optimal solutions.
● Architecture and Design: Design scalable, robust, and secure WordPress solutions that meet client requirements.
● Continuous Improvement: Stay updated with the latest industry trends and technologies to ensure our solutions are cutting-edge.

Qualifications:

● Experience: Minimum of 5 years of experience in WordPress development, with a strong portfolio of past projects.

Technical Skills:

● WordPress: Advanced knowledge of WordPress architecture, themes and plugins.
● Languages: Advanced knowledge of PHP, JavaScript, HTML and CSS.
● Tools: Advanced knowledge of Git, Composer, npm and Webpack.
● APIs: Experience with RESTful APIs and/or GraphQL.
● Security: Knowledge of web security best practices and implementation in WordPress.
● Language: Fluency in English is required as the client is based in the United States and the professional must lead meetings with them.
